If you ever thought L.A. was a cold, hard city that crushes all your romantic prospects, maybe you were right.

A new “study” by the folks at CreditDonkey says Los Angeles is among the top 10 “cities with the most heartbreak.”

The site was actually surprised we didn't rank higher, because, according to a statement …
]

 … it's the only place in America where getting a divorce could be “a good PR move.”

CreditDonkey continues:

After 17 seasons of The Bachelor, which is produced in Los Angeles and features a myriad of exotic locations, only two of the couples are still together.

Our eyes would roll if only these observations were not true. In fact, we change partners in Los Angeles like Bruce Jenner changes his appearance.

L.A. came in at number eight on this esteemed list, beat out by the likes of Chicago (number 1), Miami (number 2) and New York (number three).

We actually beat them all in the field of dating services, according to CreditDonkey. The site counts 33 in our town. And the average duration of a failed marriage in L.A. was said to be 18 years.

CreditDonkey looked at those considerations as well as the “Gallup Well-Being Index” rank (we got 52, whatever that means) and, of course, gonorrhea cases per 100,000 people (101.2 for us).

They should have looked at the rate of really really really ridiculously good-looking people who won't give you the time of day. We'd kill in that category.
