On June 14, hundreds of thousands LGBT folks from Southern California and beyond gathered in West Hollywood for the 39th annual L.A. Gay Pride Parade as marchers made their way west on Santa Monica Boulevard. Possibly more than ever, the ethnic and racial diversity of the gay community was on display. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who's running for governor of California, and other politicians also walked in the parade.
