Three suspects arrested last week in the alleged gang rape of a college student in Miami Beach are from L.A.'s South Bay, police tell the Weekly.

The trio is from Torrance, Rancho Palos Verdes and Torrance, Miami Beach police Det. Juan F. Sanchez told us.

They were arrested last week after the 21-year-old victim told authorities they “took turns” on her at a South Beach hotel. The suspects were identified as:

Paul Thorington, 22, Anthony Albano, 23, and Ray Joseph Laranjo, 23 (pictured in order, below).

The woman told police she was at a pool party at the Shelborne Hotel when the three invited her to their room at the Fontainebleau Hotel up the beach.

Once there, she told WSVN-TV in Miami:

They were kind of taking turns on me, and somebody let my leg go, and I kicked him in the chest, and he backed up, and the other guy let go of my arm and they all started laughing at me. And I grabbed all my stuff and ran into the elevator, and there were two girls in there and they asked me if I was OK, and I was already crying and everything. They took me to the front desk.

The three were subsequently charged felony sexual battery-multiple perpetrators and were being held without bond.

The attack happened during “Miami Music Week,” ahead of a rave-like weekend party called Ultra Music Festival, although reports had all the parties in Miami for Spring Break.
