Bicycle Accident on Deer Valley Drive Claimed Life of 14-Year-Old Teen
SAN ANGELO, TX (September 5, 2023) – Monday afternoon, Kyle Jones was killed in a bicycle collision on Deer Valley Drive.
Police responded to the scene around 1:00 p.m., near Deer Valley Drive on August 28th.
According to reports, a fuel-powered bicycle that had just come out of a private drive into Deer Valley Drive was struck from behind by a 2023 Hyundai Elantra.
Paramedics arrived and transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities later identified him to be 14-year-old Kyle Jones.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Meanwhile, the driver who hit the teen was reported to have sustained no injuries.
He remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities are conducting an active investigation of the crash and will release more information once available.
