27-Year-Old Rider Seriously Hurt after Motorcycle Collision on State Route 3
BELFAIR, WA (May 6, 2021) – 27-year-old Kyle Eaton suffered injuries Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle accident on State Route 3.
The incident happened on State Route 3 around 3:00 p.m., on April 28.
According to police, 50-year-old Steven Covert was turning left out of his driveway onto SR 3 when he struck the northbound motorcycle driven by Eaton.
Police located the occupants in the pickup truck unharmed, but the rider sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
When medics arrived, they took Eaton to Harrison Silverdale Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
Authorities accused Covert of causing the accident and have issued a citation to the pickup truck driver for failure to yield.
When driving, it is important to keep an eye out for motorcyclists. Check all your mirrors and blind spots for motorcycles before merging with traffic or changing lanes, especially at intersections.
