36-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision near Pacific Place

LONG BEACH, CA (September 4, 2023) – Early Monday morning, Kyle Claytor was fatally struck in a car accident on 405 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 12:05 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway just north of Pacific Place.

Per reports, the driver of a black sedan struck a white sedan, causing a chain-reaction collision. Upon impact, one of the drivers exited their vehicle and jumped the center divider where they were struck multiple times.

First responders located the male driver on the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 36-year-old Claytor dead at the scene.

At this time, Long Beach officials continue to investigate the fatal car accident. Those with additional information about the crash are encouraged to contact the local authorities as soon as possible.
