So, yesterday should have been perhaps the best day of Kreayshawn's life. Fresh off of a quite-compelling performance before a sold out crowd at the Roxy in her adopted hometown on Saturday, she was nominated for best new artist at the VMA's last night, also here in Los Angeles.

But things took a bad turn when someone hacked into her Twitter account in the middle of the performance. “Thanks to my wonderful fans. I love you guys. Cept the n*****s. #VMA” (Except, there were no astericks.)

Despite its shocking offensiveness, it wasn't immediately clear that it wasn't her talking. After all, it wouldn't have been the first time Kreay used an n-bomb on Twitter, although the time she did it before she was quoting DMX, and it had the “-igga” spelling instead of the even-worse “-igger” spelling. Oh, and then there are her ties to (also white) posse-mate V-Nasty, who uses the n-word with abandon.

Yet somehow Kreay-Kreay's day proceeded to get worse from there.

She lost to Tyler for Best New Artist, but that wasn't much of a surprise. The bad news came about an hour after the VMA's wrapped, when nude photos of her leaked online.

In a a tumblr post not long afterwards, she proceeded to assess the damage.

My twitter got hacked today by some anti-hollywood extremists. They sent out wack ass tweets and promoted their odd message of anti-jew stuff and deleted my twitter.. Oh and they leaked out private photos of me while I was underage. Real nice guys! Spreading child-prono thats cute. VMA's was insane on top of that. Can I shit man?

I ain't even mad.

But that wasn't all that happened during her terrible, horrible, no good very bad one. The feud she initiated with rapper Rick Ross came to a head during the VMA's, when her camp and his stepped to each other.

Backtrack: During her famously-weak freestyle on the Cosmic Kev show earlier this month she rapped about someone being “faker than Rick Ross.” Ross had mostly ignored the comment, however, until last night, when things got pretty heated.

We don't blame Ross for being upset; after Kreayshawn told MTV Rapfix she wasn't intentionally dissing him, she contradicted that on U Stream, and then joked about Ross' weight.

This backstage footage from the event shows how it all went down at the VMA's. Though at one point Ross and Kreay were only a few feet apart, they didn't scrap. (That would have been absolutely ridonkulous.) Their people were in between, and no blows were exchanged by anybody.

Ross looked mildly irritated, not so different from how he always looks, while Kreay offered up a play-by-play. “Oh my god, VMA wildness. No one likes Kreayshawn!…Things are getting a little too serious…I'm in this!”

Bottom line? The Kreayshawn narrative is interesting and keeps getting more so. Folks have doubted her talent, but she's definitely on to something, and is regardless emerging as a first-rate provocateur. She's not going away any time soon, and that's just fine.
