If you relate more to Krampus than to St. Nicholas, head to Highland Park to celebrate the demon that has a habit of frightening bad children. Saturday night’s Krampus Ball is just one in a series of events organized by Krampus Los Angeles and dedicated to the ferocious character from German legend. This year’s musical entertainment includes a performance from Krammpstein, a Rammstein tribute band that dresses in Krampus gear, and an Alpine-centric DJ set from Ego Plum. Singer Christina Linhardt will channel Marlene Dietrich, Rasputin’s Marionettes have a special holiday show in store and G.T.E.V. D’Oberlandler will bring on the Bavarian dancing. Make sure you arrive early, as last year’s event sold out and there is only a limited number of tickets available at the door. Stay until midnight so that you can catch Krampus’ big entrance. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
