Two Killed, Several Hurt in Multi-Car Accident near East William Street

CARSON CITY, NV (May 17, 2023) – Sunday night, Korina Adams and Destiny Darling were killed in a red-light crash on Saliman Road. Authorities responded to the scene around 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of East William Street and Saliman Road. Per reports, 26-year-old Gustavo Caldera was evading police when he ran a red light and struck a black Jeep Cherokee. Medics pronounced 27-year-old Adams and 28-year-old Darling, both from Reno, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took the passengers inside the Jeep to a nearby hospital with various injuries. Investigators also say the Toyota Corolla matched the description of a car involved in a previous theft. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area of Saliman Road for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
