Update: Statement issued by Bryant's publicist after the jump

According to TMZ, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant's wife of 10 1/2 years, is filing for divorce from the NBA superstar.

The couple had survived Kobe's cheating ways in 2003, when he was charged with sexual assault at a hotel in Colorado. The charges were dropped in 2004.

But now, Vanessa Bryant is saying that her husband has been unfaithful yet again.

Vanessa is asking for joint custody of the couple's two young daughters and for spousal support. The kicker is…

…there is no prenup, so Vanessa is entitled to half of the former MVP's empire.

TMZ reports:

As one source puts it, “She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough,” adding, “This one is the straw that broke the camel's back.”

Kobe was spotted at the Jay-Z concert, and TMZ says he looked “miserable.”

Update: The publicist for the couple has released this statement:

“The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time.”
