Updated at the bottom: Bryant's litigation attorney tells the Weekly the allegations are “baseless.” First posted at 6:09 a.m.

Kobe Bryant, clean cut as he is, has certainly had his troubles in the past. From allegations of a hotel liaison that went over the line to Turkish sympathies that have gotten him in trouble with L.A.'s Armenia community, Bryant doesn't seem to lay low for long.

Now he's being accused of (gasp) injuring a man's wrist in a scuffle over the victim's cellphone, according to KGTV San Diego.

News reports indicate that Bryant was questioned by police. It all happened …

… Sunday at St. Therese of Carmel in Carmel Valley, a community in northern San Diego.

As KGTV tells it, the victim was taking cellphone pictures when Bryant allegedly grabbed his phone and, failing to find a photos, gave it back.

But … the man claims his wrist was injured and that he had to head to a hospital.

So far no comment from Bryant's people or the Lakers.

Update: Bryant's litigation attorney, Mark Campbell of Loeb & Loeb LLP, sent us this statement:

Mr. Bryant is aware of the baseless allegations asserted against him, and is prepared to defend against them fully.

The accuser was identified as one Thomas Hagos.
