49-Year-Old ISD Teacher Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Accident on Thomas Arnold Road
SALADO, TX (October 30, 2024) – Kimberley Kosh-Ruiz died Wednesday night, and Grant Ruiz sustained injuries in a 2-car collision on Thomas Arnold Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m., on October 23rd.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Kimberly went to pick up her 9-year-old son, Grant, from Salado ISD and entered the westbound lanes.
Kosh-Ruiz’s vehicle then collided with a Ford pickup driven by a 26-year-old man. Paramedics arrived and transported Kimberly and her son to Baylor Scott and White ER, where 49-year-old Kimberly sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Grant was listed in stable condition.
The Ford driver was also taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators noted that Kosh-Ruiz was a beloved second-grade teacher at Thomas Arnold Elementary School, and her passing will be a significant loss for her community.
Currently, authorities have not released further details about the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
