When it happens to Kim Kardashian, it's an international incident — enough to get the tight-lipped L.A. County Sheriff's Department to issue an official statement. Really:
Somone, apparently an animal rights advocate unhappy with Kardashian's okay relationship with real fur, threw powder on the reality TV star last night.
It happened at the London Hotel, which is in the 1000 block of North San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood, shortly before 8 p.m., according to sheriff's officials and reports.
Stop the presses: Deputies and paramedics were sent to the scene.
According to TMZ Kardashian was hosting an event for her new fragrance, True Reflection, when a woman stepped up to her, thew white powder all over her, and yelled, “Fur bag.”
According to a sheriff's statement:
When deputies arrived, they learned Kim Kardashian was hosting an event at the hotel. As Kardashian stood in the hotel lobby, a woman threw powder on her.
The woman was detained by hotel security.
Deputies said “a non-criminal battery report was taken” and the woman was released. Kardashian, they said, didn't want to press the matter and, after cleaning up, returned to her “party.” She refused “treatment” by paramedics.
What we want to know is, what did she do with all that white powder?
