17-Year-Old Dead after Semi-Truck Rear-Ends Shuttle Bus at Milepost 328

WINDOW ROCK, AZ (September 5, 2022) – Sunday morning, Kiarra Alma Gordon died in a bus crash on Interstate 40.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:00 a.m., near mile post 328 on August 28th.

Officers responded to the pile-up shortly after and pronounced 17-year-old Gordon dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported six others to a hospital in Flagstaff for further treatment of various injuries.

At this time, the friends and family of Gordon are fundraising to support the costs of her funeral. For information on how to donate, click here. She was a student at Holbrook Indian School, and was on her way to field trip with her classmates at the time.
