Calistoga Two-Vehicle Crash Results in Multiple Injuries

CALISTOGA, CA (July 13, 2021) – Authorities identified Kevin Young and Eric Valencia Jr. as the victims of a crash in Calistoga on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m., on Highway 29, just north of Azalea Springs Road. CHP arrived to the area shortly after.

Later on, investigators determined that a 2011 Ford Mustang crossed the centerline on Azalea Springs Road. As a result, the Mustang collided head on with a 2015 GMC Sierra traveling southbound.

Eventually, emergency responders arrived and transported both drivers to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

The 33-year-old Mustang driver and Windsor resident, Kevin Young, suffered from major injuries but is expected to survive.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver, 33-year-old Eric Valencia Jr. of Santa Rosa, sustained minor injuries.

In addition, the two-vehicle collision blocked Highway 29 for a couple of hours until the CHP cleared out the scene.
