60-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near East Speedway Boulevard

TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2022) – Monday evening, Kevin Richard Stephens was killed in a pedestrian accident on Kolb Road.

Police received dispatch calls in the area around 6:00 p.m., near East Speedway Boulevard on November 28th.

As per reports, the driver of a northbound vehicle struck Stephens as he was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk from west to east. Due to the extent of his condition, responding officials pronounced 60-year-old Stephens dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old male driver of the involved vehicle remained and cooperated with the authorities. Following preliminary duties, officials ruled out DUI as a potential factor.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
