A man who was shot while he was seated in the passenger seat of his car March 27 has been identified as 21-year-old Kevin Bautista.

Bautista was sitting in the passenger seat of his car at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of West 84th Street when a man and woman drove up in a gray sedan and stopped at the southeast corner of 84th Street and Harvard Boulevard. 

The gunman, who is described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 20 years of age, got out of the sedan and walked towards Baustista's car. The woman stayed inside the car as the gunman confronted Bautista, shot him then ran back to the gray sedan. They took off and drove north on Harvard Boulevard. Bautista was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries at 6:55 p.m. Police believe the motive was gang-related.
