Small Plane Crash at Christensen Road Left Raley’s CFO and Pilot Dead

GALT, CA (September 23, 2022) – Sunday morning, Kenneth Mueller and Richard Conte lost their lives in a plane crash on Christensen Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:000 a.m., near Twin Cities Road on September 4th.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a small plane crashed in a remote location northwest of Sacramento County.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after. They determined that the crash killed the pilot, 68-year-old Orangevale resident Richard Conte, and 56-year-old El Dorado Hills resident Kenneth Mueller.

First responders then closed off the area for a brief time to perform cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, the main events leading up to the accident are unknown. However, the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board continue to investigate the crash.
