Two-Vehicle Crash near Hilltop Road in Soquel Left Woman Seriously Injured

SOQUEL, CA (March 7, 2023) – Friday morning, a suspected DUI crash on Soquel San Jose Road lead to the arrest of Keller Alexander Stout.

According to the CHP, a southbound 1997 Toyota approached the Soquel San Jose Road around 8:19 a.m.

Investigators said the Toyota veered into the northbound lane of the road for unknown reasons.

Subsequently, the Toyota went right and crashed into the 1995 Honda in the southbound lane of Soquel San Jose Road. The impact sent the Toyota in a western direction where it crashed into a tree.

After being medically cleared, authorities arrested 31-year-old Keller Alexander Stout, the Toyota driver, on suspicion of felony DUI.

In addition, paramedics also transported Stout’s passenger, a 28-year-old woman from Ben Lomond, to Valley Medical Center for significant injuries.

The Honda driver, identified as a 56-year-old Soquel man, received no injuries.

Furthermore, a large portion of the surrounding area was briefly shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
