Solo-Car Collision, near Mile Marker 8, Left Two Fatalities

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 9, 2023) – Friday night, a solo-car crash on Interstate 15 killed Kayla Theresa Khouzam and Michael Abbasi.

The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard near Seven Magic Mountains.

According to reports, the vehicle overturned near mile marker 8. The impact of the collision seriously injured two of the vehicle’s occupants.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and officials pronounced 22-year-old Kayla Theresa Khouzam dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Abbasi died Sunday at University Medical Center. Both victims died due to blunt injuries.

At this time, Las Vegas police said the reason for the accident is still under investigation. More information will be released as soon as they become available.
