12-Year-Old Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash near Gauche Aquatic Park

YUBA CITY, CA (November 7, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, Kavon Antonio Day was injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run on C Street.

The collision happened around 12:25 p.m., near the Gauche Aquatic Park in Yuba City.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck the young boy and immediately fled the scene. The boy was left in the middle of the road with significant injuries until authorities arrived.

The victim’s family said the teenager was leaving a relative’s house at the time. Medical personnel arrived and transported the boy to a nearby hospital for further treatment of a broken back, a broken hip, a broken rib and other injuries.
