Katt Williams is short, his hair (relaxed or permed or shooting for the stars) is prettier than yours, and his diamonds look like they were excavated from the mines of Africa. He enters a stage sipping from a chalice and accompanied by ladies sprinkling rose petals along his path. And if you’ve ever watched Wild ’N Out— MTV’s hip-hop take on Whose Line Is It Anyway? — you know the comedian gets the biggest laughs destroying in rhyme anyone who dares to aim for the Lucky Charms or Buckwheat jokes: “If you don’t like my hair/Then I can wear a hat/But you fat and you broke/There ain’t no hat for that.” He regularly appears in sitcoms and created his alter ego Money Mike in Ice Cube’s film Friday After Next. And for his April HBO special The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1, Williams mused on the usual topics: the advantages of pot (“Some of you just need to smoke some weed and see if it don’t help the quality of your motherfuckin’ life”); the disadvantages of pot (“It is not cool to get high and eat all yo’ baby’s cereal”); the selling of pot (“If you’ve been selling weed since 1994 and haven’t moved up to cocaine, maybe you need to become a Jehovah’s Witness or real estate consultant”); and his appreciation of women (“As long as you have a vagina, you run the motherfuckin’ universe”). Tonight, he’ll no doubt be riffing on whatever gets his dander up, from war to the high price of gas to more pot to Michael Jackson, with maybe a word or two on his very recent stint in jail for an alleged weapons-possession charge at LAX. Only a real pimp would leave jail, sign autographs, hop in a chauffeured SUV and thank his fans for posting his bail. Gibson Amphitheater, 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City; Sat., Nov. 25, 8:15 & 11:45 p.m.; $27.50-$45. (818) 777-3931.
