Pregnant Woman Killed in Deadly Accident near Mile Marker 1
YERINGTON, NV (September 10, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning, 29-year-old Katianne Turner was pronounced dead after a crash on Mason Road.
Around 4:30 a.m., the driver of a Honda Civic rear-ended a truck on Mason Road near Lyons County Mile Marker 1. Dispatchers arrived to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, two people were transported by Care Flight to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Turner of Wadsworth, was pronounced dead at Renown Regional Medical Center. In addition, medics say she was 8 months pregnant at the time and the baby did not survive.
Moreover, the second occupant that was airlifted sustained serious injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
Further events leading up to the accident remain unclear. However, more information will be given once available.
