Multiple Injured in DUI Collision near Maxwell Road

MAXWELL, CA (October 10, 2022) – Early Monday evening, authorities arrested Kathryn Shubat following a rollover crash on Interstate 5.

The incident occurred around 5:25 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the highway just south of Maxwell Road.

Per reports, 24-year-old Shubat, of Martinez was driving a vehicle when she crashed into a white Ford truck towing a utility trailer at a high rate of speed. Upon impact, the Ford veered onto the right shoulder and overturned.

Two passengers inside the Ford, 19-year-old Jason Danielson and 20-year-old Sierra Jenson, of Vacaville suffered injuries. The driver of the Ford, 22-year-old Anthony Danielson suffered minor injuries.

Medics arrived and transported Sierra Jenson to Enloe Medical Center, in Chico in serious condition.

Following preliminary duties, officers arrested Kathryn Shubat for driving under the influence causing great bodily harm.
