15-Year-Old Girl Dragged by Truck on Rio Linda Boulevard

RIO LINDA, CA – (April 22, 2021) – Tuesday night, 15-year-old Karla Naranjo sustained injuries after a bicycle accident on Elkhorn Boulevard.

The tragic incident occurred near Rio Linda Boulevard just after 6:00 p.m., on April 13.

According to officials, Naranjo was riding her bike and came to a halt in the bike lane to ensure that it was safe to cross. Then she saw a truck exiting the 7-Eleven parking lot had come to a halt, giving her the impression that it was safe to continue.

She then proceeded to cross the street when the truck struck and dragged her. Karla Naranjo was sustained serious injuries. However, the extent of her condition was not immediately disclosed.

At this time, no other information was released. Authorities are now investigating to determine further details.
