Update: Peck issued a terse apology, after the jump.

Whew. This week we had a young white student at UCLA open up about her true feelings for Asian Americans at UCLA.

While we're on the topic, what do some Anglo Americans really think of Mexicans?

Kansas state Rep. Virgil Peck gave us a little glimpse of some folks' views. And well, they weren't pretty. When it comes to immigration, America, we're not in Kansas anymore. Because Latinos are everywhere. And some people just don't like it.

Here's when he said:

It looks like to me if shooting these immigrating feral hogs works maybe we have found a [solution] to our illegal immigration problem.

He said illegals could be shot from a helicopter like wild hogs in need of population control.

Virgil Peck: The most interesting racist in the world.

Virgil Peck: The most interesting racist in the world.

We'll golly, representative Peck, you can come on out to L.A. and it'll be like shootin' fish in a barrel, especially tonight as immigrants rights activists plan to protest the LAPD shooting of one of their own.

(Of course, we wouldn't recommend it).

What's more amazing than those comments is that Peck stood by his remarks, saying he's simply representing the feelings of his constituents.

“I was just speaking like a southeast Kansas person,” he said.

(It's really heartwarming being a member of America's most beloved minority).

Update: Peck issued a terse apology:

“My statements yesterday were regrettable. Please accept my apology,”
