On October 16-18, Culture Collide celebrates its fifth year in L.A. Hosted at venues along Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park (and thereabouts), it's dedicated to showing off musicians from around the globe. This year the festival features acts from 20 different countries. In its day, Culture Collide has propelled a number of bands toward fame. Plus, at $30, it's still fairly affordable.

This year's headliners include Cloud Nothings and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and L.A.'s In The Valley Below gets one of the top billings as well. The full lineup is below, as well as the schedules for each day (a West Coast Sound exclusive). Our advice: Go see someone you haven't heard of, from a distant corner of the globe, preferably one in small type near the bottom of the flyer.
