Man Pronounced Dead after DUI Crash near La Palma Avenue

ANAHEIM, CA (September 22, 2022) – Early Sunday night, Juan Venicio Gallardo was arrested after a fatal hit-and-run crash on Fairview Street.

The incident happened around 5:00 p.m., at the 1500 block of South Fairview Street near La Palma Avenue on September 18th.

According to the reports, Gallardo was driving a vehicle when he veered off the road and struck a man who was waiting at the bus stop. Due to the impact of the collision, the male pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries.

In addition, Gallardo fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Medics arrived and transported the male victim to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. However, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.

Police later located and arrested Gallardo and held him on $100,000 bail. He was charged with hit-and-run and felony driving under the influence.
