Minnie Riperton

Adventures in Paradise (Epic)

Jourdin Pauline is in Paradise: Guyanese Pop Princess Jourdin Pauline told us about her love for a Minnie Riperton classic, and Prince.

It’s hard picking my two go two albums but the ones that really take me down memory lane and fills my spirit with joy is Minnie Riperton’s Adventures in Paradise. That album is a masterpiece. All of her consecutive albums after are bangers to. She’s saying such sensual lyrics in such a beautiful tone — it’s honestly a win win for music because when I listen to music I expect to be hugged by the songs and have a hold, and Minnie for sure has a grip on me.

My 2nd favorite is of course my favorite artist in the whole universe, Prince. I can’t just pick one album and y’all should know that everything Prince makes is amazing but here’s a few to list that got a lock on me: Prince, Sign o’ the Times and Purple Rain. He makes me feel every bit of magical. I could dream of truly imagining just wanting to get up and dance the day away. I love a good Prince tune.
