Parents Charged after Slamming into Brick Wall on Ray Road

TEMPE, AZ (April 22, 2022) – Sunday morning, Joshua Peper and Molly Houston were arrested after a DUI collision on Priest Drive.

According to reports, Peper was driving and Houston was in the passenger seat when the vehicle slammed into a brick wall. Crews responded to the scene near Ray Road, shortly after.

In addition, Peper is accused of running three stop signs prior to the collision. In the backseat were their two daughters, ages 6 and 7.

Authorities charged Peper with two counts of aggravated DUI, and Houston is now facing felony counts of child abuse. Police say both Joshua Peper and Houston admitted to drinking at the time.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
