The incident happened on June 8th at around 10:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of State Route 85 near milepost 150.

According to the Buckeye police, they spotted the wrong-way vehicle heading south in the northbound lanes and struck a police cruiser and a DPS SUV.

Furthermore, the wrong-way vehicle came to a stop upon hitting the patrol vehicles. One trooper and 40-year-old Allen were both injured as a result of the collision.

Unsafely changing lanes is one of the top causes of vehicle accidents. Always use your turn signals before switching lanes. Only change one lane at a time as other drivers on the road are unaware of your intentions. Furthermore, follow the speed limit and maintain your speed while changing lanes.
