Fresno Head-On Collision Kills Two People

FRESNO, CA (July 26, 2021) – A head-on collision in California avenue claimed the life of Joseph Rodriguez and Alissa Campos on Saturday.

Officers responded to the fatal incident around around 8:15 P.M. near California and Howard Avenues just outside the city of Kerman.

Eventually, investigators determined that a Chevy truck lost control while traveling westbound and collided head-on with an eastbound Chevy Tahoe.

As a result, 19-year-old Joseph Rodriguez of Kerman, and passenger,19-year-old Alissa Campos of Fresno died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the occupants inside the Tahoe, identified as Gary Burrows and Patricia Ayala, suffered from minor injuries.

CHP Officers ruled out intoxication as a factor that contributed to the incident.

Fresno officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
