51-Year-Old Male Cyclist Fatally Struck in Two-Vehicle Collision near Elm Avenue

MODESTO, CA (January 16, 2023) Tuesday afternoon, Joseph Prieto was killed in a bicycle accident on Almond Avenue.

Officers say the left front side of the vehicle struck the cyclist, causing life-threatening injuries. Responding paramedics arrived and declared 51-year-old Prieto dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 33-year-old Turlock woman, and her two female passengers, ages 8 and 14 remained uninjured.
