61-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on East Palm Canyon Drive

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (November 10, 2021) – 61-year-old Joseph Gonzalez lost his life Sunday night after a pedestrian crash on East Palm Canyon Drive.

On November 7, just after 7:30 p.m., police received a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on East Palm Canyon Road, just east of Cree Road.

Gonzalez was hit by a car in the westbound lanes of East Palm Canyon, according to authorities. However, the reason of the crash is still unknown.

At this time, it is unclear whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash.

An active investigation, on the other hand, is now underway.
