2 Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision on Road 232 in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, CA (December 10, 2021) – Tuesday night, Joseph Fisher was injured and two were killed in a car accident on Avenue 204.

The accident took place near Avenue 204 and Road 232 around 9:30 p.m. Authorities responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to California Highway Patrol, the driver of a Toyota Avalon drove through a stop sign for unclear reasons. There, the vehicle was hit by oncoming 2021 Ford F550 flatbed.

The flatbed was driven by 29-year-old Fisher, who was traveling south on Road 232 at approximately 55 mph.

Paramedics pronounced both the driver and passenger inside the Toyota dead at the scene. However, authorities have not yet released their names or place of residency.

In addition, police did not consider drugs and alcohol to be factors in the crash. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
