Bell Road Multi-Car Collision Kills Joseph Daniel Saiz and Elana Keltner Crawford

GLENDALE, AZ (November 3, 2021) – Saturday night, Joseph Daniel Saiz and Elana Keltner Crawford perished in a three vehicle accident on Bell Road that also left another person injured.

Around 8:45 p.m., authorities said driver Saiz, 19, and passenger Crawford, 18, were in a Ford Mustang heading east at high speeds with no headlights on.

Meanwhile, a Honda Civic heading west attempted to make a left at Grandview Road when it hit the back of the Mustang.

Police said this caused Saiz’s car to hit the median and two trees. Afterwards, it went into the west lane where it struck a Lexus.

Reports said Saiz was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car, dying instantly. Crawford made it to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The Lexus driver also had to be hospitalized for non-life-threatening injures, while the Civic driver was not hurt.

The crash is still under active investigation as this time.
