28-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision near Backes Lane 

KERN COUNTY, CA (December 7, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, Joseph Allen Grier was killed in a rollover crash on Highline Road.

The fatal incident happened around 2:30 a.m., at the 21000 block of Highline Road near the intersection of Backes Lane.

At this time, the cause of the accident remains unclear. Although, investigators say then driver of a truck left the road and overturned.

Due to the impact of the collision, the truck driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene after suffering from blunt-force trauma. The Kern County coroner’s office later identified the deceased driver as 28-year-old Grier, of Tehachapi. 

Moreover, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further details regarding the rollover accident have been released to the public. Once available, more information will be provided.
