Motorcyclist Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near East Reno Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, Jose Patricio-Chavez lost his life in a motorcycle collision on Eastern Avenue.
The accident occurred around 4:10 p.m., just north of East Reno Avenue.
As per reports, the rider was on a 2022 Suzuki GSX-R600 heading south on Eastern Avenue. There, the driver of a 2009 Mercury Milan failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcycle then collided with the Milan.
Responding officers took the rider, 32-year-old Jose Patricio-Chavez to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercury remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
At this time, further circumstances leading up remain under active investigation. Local authorities ask anyone with more information to contact their offices as soon as possible.
