Driver and Passenger Dead after Wrong-Way Crash near Interstate 10

ONTARIO, CA (March 16, 2022) – Saturday morning, a collision on Interstate 15 left Jose Elizarraraz Bravo and Luis Elizarraraz Bravo dead.

The crash happened around 3:16 a.m., along Interstate 15 near the Interstate 10 freeway. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a 2018 Tesla made a U-turn on the freeway and traveled north in the southbound lanes.

As a result, the Tesla collided with the end of a k-rail separating the southbound and northbound lanes. Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced both Tesla occupants dead around 3:41 a.m.

Authorities later identified the deceased victims as Rialto residents 24-year-old Jose and 29-year-old Luis. Investigators say Jose was driving, while Luis was in the passenger seat.

At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. Meanwhile, investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate and reach out as soon as possible.

An active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway. The Ontario police will release additional information once it becomes available.
