Two Dead after Fatal DUI Rollover Accident near Pepper Avenue

COLTON, CA (February 10, 2022) – Saturday morning, Jose Carranza and Milagro Nieto-Campos were killed in a DUI crash on 10 Freeway.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m., on February 5. Emergency crews responded to the scene near Pepper Avenue, shortly after.

According to the police, a suspected DUI driver struck a Nissan Sentra on the westbound 10 Freeway shoulder. Consequently, the impact caused the Nissan to overturn and travel down a nearby embankment.

Authorities later identified the deceased victims as 54-year-old Carranza and 59-year-old Nieto-Campos of Pacoima. They were both inside of the Nissan at the time.

The family of Carranza made a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses. At this time, Colton Officials are still investigating the fatal collision.
