Long Beach Big-Rig Accident Resulted in One Fatality
LONG BEACH, CA (June 9, 2022) – A fatal big-rig crash along 91 Freeway claimed the life of 57-year-old Jorge Sanchez Esparza Sunday morning.
According to the police, the crash happened around 1 a.m. when a speeding Toyota in the eastbound lanes collided with the center divider. Furthermore, it collided into the back of Esparza’s big-rig.
As a result, Esparza lost control of his 2022 Freightliner and crashed off the side of the freeway.
Unfortunately, responding authorities and declared Esparza dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.
Meanwhile authorities arrested the Toyota driver, identified as 25-year-old Bryan Tostado, after being treated for minor injuries.
No further information about the fatal big-rig crash is available, Long Beach Officials are currently launching an active investigation.
