16-Year-Old Dies in Vehicle vs Skateboard Crash on Arlington Avenue

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 2, 2022) – Friday evening, 16-year-old Jordan Rawlins was killed in a skateboard accident on Brockton Avenue.

The collision happened around 7:30 p.m., in the area of Brockton Avenue and Arlington Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Per reports, the teen was riding a skateboard north on Brockton Avenue while the SUV was heading west on Arlington Avenue. There, Rawlins was struck by a GMC Yukon attached to a trailer that was driven by a 60-year-old man.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Rawlins was rushed to a local hospital for further treatment. However, medics later pronounced him dead due to the extent of his condition.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the involved driver.

No further details surrounding the deadly crash are available at this time. However, an active investigation is still currently ongoing.
