Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Rome Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a motorcycle collision on North 5th Street left 42-year-old Jonathan Wayne Cook dead.

The accident took place around 2:50 p.m., at the intersection of North 5th Street and Rome Boulevard on October 12th.

According to reports, a motorcyclist was traveling north on 5th Street at a high rate of speed and crashed into a black Hyundai Elantra driving eastbound on Rome Boulevard.

The impact of the collision ejected the rider from his motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries.

First responders arrived and pronounced the rider dead on the scene. Police later identified the rider as 42-year-old Jonathan Wayne Cook. Crews say Cook died from blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the Hyundai driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
