Deceased Victim Identified in Fatal Highway 101 Crash in Greenfield

GREENFIELD, CA (June 22, 2021) – Wednesday, Jonathan Floyd was killed, and two others were injured in a deadly crash on Highway 101.

Officers responded to the crash around 3:50 p.m., in southbound lanes of the highway near Hudson Road.

Per reports, 71-year-old Kinzen Wong of Sunnyvale, was driving a northbound RV when she drifted into the southbound lanes. There, he collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander, driven by Floyd.

Eventually, medical personnel declared one person dead while they airlifted two patients to a local hospital. Officers say Wong suffered a broken leg and internal bleeding as a result of the impact.

Later on, the deceased patient was identified as 49-year-old Jonathan Floyd.

CHP closed down the southbound lanes of Highway 101 for several hours to conduct an investigation. But, the roadway has since reopened.

At this time, further details leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, an active investigation is still underway.
