8-Year-Old Boy Killed in DUI Collision near Floral Avenue

DINUBA, CA (January 4, 2022) – Tuesday morning, Jonathan Aparicio was killed and Sabrina Elizondo was arrested after a crash on Porter Avenue.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m., in between Porter and Floral Avenue.

Reports indicate that Elizondo was driving a 2017 Honda Accord when she failed to stop for the posted stop sign. She then continued traveling through the paved roadway and crashed into a large PG&E transmission pole.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics later pronounced the 8-year-old occupant, Aparicio, dead.

Meanwhile, Elizondo was arrested at the scene for felony driving under the influence, after which she was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with major injuries.
