Call it the “Rally to Restore Ratings.” Jon Stewart's “Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear,” which was based in Washington, D.C. and had a satellite event at L.A.'s MacArthur Park Saturday, more than quadrupled Comedy Central's ratings, according to the network.

During coverage of the morning/afternoon event viewership was up 362 percent, according to Comedy Central. The key 18-49-year-old demo was also more than quadrupled, at 313 percent.

Comedy Central claims 800,000 people came to see the rallies in person, and that 575,000 people streamed the events online.

What does all this tell us?

We like our politics, and we might even get out and vote, it we can have a laugh too.
