Updated at the bottom: Maybe it was all just a bad dream. The first guy has withdrawn his suit. First posted at 1:54 p.m. Monday, May 7.

When a Los Angeles man wrote a book that claimed John Travolta was a well-known cruiser of gay massage spas in town, we were a bit doubtful.

First, why didn't others come forward with similar accusations that the actor was doing this pretty much out in the open? Second, one of the main spas mentioned was not known as a gay spot at all.

Well, maybe we were wrong (warning — explicit language):

In a lawsuit revealed today, a masseur alleges that Travolta hired him, took him to a Beverly Hills Hotel bungalow and fondled him after he stripped himself nude.

The news of the L.A. lawsuit was broken by RumorFix.

Depending on if you believe them or not, the accusations could corroborate allegations made in Robert Randoph's You'll Never Spa in This Town Again, self-published in 2010.

His claims seemed far-fetched at the time, and not a soul, it seemed, came forward to back them up.

Then there was this suit, in which the John Doe masseur says Travolta told him:

Come on dude, I'll jerk you off!

Talk about your Face/Off.

The suit goes on to describe Travolta as measuring a healthy 8 inches, with plentiful, unkempt pubic hair (really).

His only defense is to say, I'm small, I'm small! (We kid).

TMZ says the filing also claims that Travolta told the masseur, as he masturbated, that sexual favors were his way up in a Hollywood allegedly controlled by Jewish men who expect such service.

Gay? Travolta allegedly asked the massage artist to help him double penetrate a Hollywood “starlet,” according to RumorFix.

He paid $800 to the guy, who said he charged $200 an hour.

The suit seeks $2 million plus “damages,” says TMZ.

The last time someone accused Travolta of being a gay massage fiend, he threatened to sue. The key word here being threatened.

[Update at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday, May 8]: Say it ain't so, Vinny. Radar Online reports that a second masseur has come forward with similar allegations, via lawsuit as well.

It's a $2 million “sexual battery” claim filed just today in L.A. federal court, according to the site.

The plaintiff claims his encounter with Travolta happened at an Atlanta resort early this year. He says he got the gig after a coworker refused to work the star's muscles because he allegedly had been banned from a spa where he had worked in L.A.

The suit says, according to Radar, that Johnny Boy …

… would maneuver in a way to try to force Doe Plaintiff No. 2 to touch his anus and around his anus.

The suit alleges that Travolta grabbed the man's butt, put his hands on his own nuts, and jerked off.

Not gay at all.

Travolta's lawyer has already denied that there's any truth to the first claim.

[Update at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9]: While the lawyer for both accusers is claiming more men will come forward with similar allegations, Travolta's people are saying the masseurs are full of it.

TMZ published a restaurant receipt putting Travolta in New York the day the first accuser says he was in Beverly Hills playing ring the sleigh bells with him. So there.

[Update at 4:01 p.m. on May 15]: TMZ says Travolta's lawyer is claiming victory after “John Doe #1” withdrew his suit: “My client is completely vindicated,” Marty Singer told the site.

Poor John. Even if he's completely innocent here, we can't imagine he'd ever be able to have his hamstrings rubbed again without suspicion of gayness.
