Police Pursuit along Gardnerville Ranchos Left John Schulze Dead

GARDNERVILLE, NV (November 29, 2021)John Schulze died after a police pursuit crash on Gardnerville Ranchos area.

According to reports, the police pursuit incident happened last Tuesday, November 16.

Furthermore, deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the automobile where Schulze was a passenger in, was wanted out of Oregon.

Authorities named the driver as Blake Edward Thacker, 31 years old.

Moreover, Sheriff’s Office released an official statement saying Thacker, who also violated a parole for assaulting a police officer in Oregon nearly hit a marked police car in the Gardnerville Ranchos at 4:45 p.m.

Additionally, the driver almost hit an officer before driving recklessly in the Gardnerville area. Consequently, he also hit several other cars as police attempted to pull him over.

Eventually, the incident set off the police chase. After the pursuit, Schulze died on the scene. Meanwhile, Thacker sustained injuries.

Currently, the driver now faces numerous felony charges related to the chase.

Nevada Highway Patrol and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office are conducting the investigation.
