60-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal Multi-Car Collision on Highway 680

PLEASANTON, CA (November 10, 2021) John Reiman, 60, of Dublin, lost his life Friday morning after a three-vehicle collision on Highway 680.

The fatal crash took place around 6:00 a.m. November 5, on southbound Interstate Highway 680, south of Alcosta Boulevard.

According to the CHP, Reiman was driving a Honda Civic when he sideswiped a big rig in the fourth lane.

Reiman lost control and crossed all lanes of traffic before crashing into the center barrier as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig kept driving while unaware of the crash, officers added.

A Ford pickup truck then drove into the area and collided with the Honda.

Responding officers pronounced Reiman dead at the scene of the crash. However, officials have no reports about the condition of the Ford driver.

Pleasanton Police do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.

Sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John Reiman. Thoughts are with them during this very difficult time.
