Fiery Head-On Collision on Grimes Canyon Road Left John Queen and Jonathan Yip Dead

MOORPARK, CA (November 30, 2021) John Queen and Jonathan Yip died after a head-on collision on Grimes Canyon Road Wednesday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol said the crash happened  just before 3 p.m., west of the Moorpark city limits.

Furthermore, authorities said Queen was driving a 2020 Toyota sedan northbound with Yip in the front right passenger seat and a 59-year-old man in the back right passenger seat.

Consequently, upon crossing into the other lane, they collided head-on with a Peterbilt semi-truck carrying a dump trailer headed southbound.

Meanwhile, two more sustained serious injuries including a 59-year-old passenger in the Toyota. Medics transported the victim to Los Robles Regional Medical Center. Currently, the condition remains unknown at this time.

On the other hand, authorities identified the driver of the semi as a 61-year-old man from Los Angeles. The driver suffered moderate injuries so medics also transported him to a nearby hospital.

Moreover, the causes and manners of their deaths are still unavailable.

Additionally, Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office is still investigating the crash. However, speed is believed to be a possible factor on the crash.
